Aminexil is a chemical compound that is patented by L'Oreal, it is purported to help treat hair loss. The method by which it is said to do this is as it is supposed to stop perifollicular fibrosis (this is scarring of the hair follicles). Currently Aminexil is not a proven or licensed for the treatment of hair loss. It is said that it works in a similar way to minoxidil, and is often mixed in with minoxidil.
Treatment with Aminexil is a very simple affair. The cap is placed on top of the bottle, the cap should then fill with Aminexil, then to get the Aminexil to come out the cap is gently pressed. The Aminexil is applied by making a parting in the hair in sections from the crown to the hairline, depending on the scalp 10 partings in small sections are needed. Generally each parting requires about three to four presses of the cap, each bottle contains enough for one application. Note though that the instructions must be read as it could be that newer version of the product change the application instructions. Once the Aminexil is applied it can then be massaged into the scalp.
